It's the little things in life...

A few days ago Bryson and I were spending the day alone at home. Needless to say, he was in a rather cranky mood. He is normally so good, but he definately has his moments. Well, he had thrown several meaningless fits that morning and my patience was running low. I warned him not to do it again and to stop the whining business. He didn't stop, so I sent him to his room to sit on his bed. I told him I would be in there in a few minutes to talk to him about his attitude. I finished doing the laundry and tried to let myself cool down so I could go talk to him. I am usually pretty patient with him, but whining is one thing that wears me down pretty quickly! So, I went to his room for our talk, and he was sitting on his bed crying and holding this card in his hand he had made for me. It said "sore" mom at the top. It took me a moment to realize that he had sounded out the word sorry the best he could. Then he put a heart for love and then he signed it "me". It melted my heart. I did feel like a "sore" mom after reading that card. He is so smart for a 4 year old and he amazes me with the things he can do sometimes! I will keep that sweet card forever and on the days in the future when he is wearing on me again, I'll get it out as a reminder!

My pregnant belly

I haven't taken very many pictures of my pregnant belly yet. You know, it is not the first thing on my mind to run and get my camera and want to take a picture of me out-growing all my clothes. I am getting more used to my bigger and more rounder belly, and I absolutely love feeling the baby move right now. It is a little reminder that I am growing a miracle inside my tummy; my expanding and very quickly growing tummy. This was taken last week when I was 21 weeks pregnant.

18 weeks pregnant

This was my first picture to take after I found out I was pregnant. I was 16 weeks pregnant. You can't really tell I am pregnant yet, but I was sure getting uncomfortable in those black pants so I couldn't wait to take a picture. At that time I actually was looking forward to looking pregnant. Not so much anymore, now that it is happening. I forgot how expensive maternity clothes are!

My first blog

I finally decided to join the world of blogging. I kept putting it off because my life is really not that exciting to anyone but us, but I hope that there are a few loyal friends out there that will humor me and look at my blog from time to time. If not, I am sure this will be a great way to pass the hours away in 5 short months when I have a newborn baby that is up all night. Here is the rundown on our family: Brian and I have been married for 8 years, we have one son Bryson who is 4 1/2 years old and in Preschool, and we are pregnant with our second child which is a girl and we are due on April 5th, 2009. This is my 6th year to be teaching. I teach Kindergarten and I (usually) love it! It is such a tough job, but it is also so very rewarding. I hope to be able to keep up with this blog thing, I will try my best. I always enjoy reading everyone else's blogs so I figured I would finally join in the fun.
