Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It is hard to believe that this is our last Christmas with only Brian, Bryson, and I. Next year will be so different. We are looking forward to sharing our first Christmas with Madelyn next year. She even got a few presents this year! We really enjoyed all the time we were able to spend with our families. I couldn't decide which pictures to add, so here are a few of my favorites. Yes, I am definately growing! This is at 26 weeks. Madelyn must have been enjoying herself because she was kicking and moving around all day on Christmas.
Family picture, with Bryson and his cheesy smile!
Cheese!
My goofy husband and his brother. Kevin and his wife Rebecca are also expecting and are due just 1 day before us! I guess they got jealous of everyone wanting to take our pictures of our swollen bellies that they wanted some attention too. So, here they are showing off their bellies as well. They always keep us laughing! There is never a dull moment around the Yeager house.
Rebecca and I, both 26 weeks along. We are due one day apart and are very excited to be sharing this experience with each other. We've been given strict orders not to go into labor on the same day! We'll see what happens. We are having a girl and they are having a boy. Next Christmas is going to be so much different!

We finally picked out a name!

So, after MUCH discussing and talking and debating we have finally decided on a name for our daughter. We are going to name her Madelyn Grace Yeager. I have always loved the name Madelyn. It sounds so pretty and elegant and it is fitting for a little girl and for a grown woman. It was tough deciding on a name I tell you! Also, there are no Madelyn's in our family or at our church (that I know of) and I have only had one Madelyn in class at school and she was an absolute doll and angel. If you know any bad Madelyn's then please; don't share that with me. I already had to eliminate so many wonderful names because of so and so at school had that name and you don't want to name them that! It is so hard for a teacher to name their own child because of the legacy other children leave behind for their names. Anyway, I am now 23 weeks along and feeling great, yeah!

It's the little things in life...

A few days ago Bryson and I were spending the day alone at home. Needless to say, he was in a rather cranky mood. He is normally so good, but he definately has his moments. Well, he had thrown several meaningless fits that morning and my patience was running low. I warned him not to do it again and to stop the whining business. He didn't stop, so I sent him to his room to sit on his bed. I told him I would be in there in a few minutes to talk to him about his attitude. I finished doing the laundry and tried to let myself cool down so I could go talk to him. I am usually pretty patient with him, but whining is one thing that wears me down pretty quickly! So, I went to his room for our talk, and he was sitting on his bed crying and holding this card in his hand he had made for me. It said "sore" mom at the top. It took me a moment to realize that he had sounded out the word sorry the best he could. Then he put a heart for love and then he signed it "me". It melted my heart. I did feel like a "sore" mom after reading that card. He is so smart for a 4 year old and he amazes me with the things he can do sometimes! I will keep that sweet card forever and on the days in the future when he is wearing on me again, I'll get it out as a reminder!
